Kao pionir i junior uvek je bio medju prvih 5 u Srbiji sa najboljim plasmanom polufinale državnog do 18.
Dok je studirao Sport od 1982. sa diplomom učitelja tenisa je radio u Partizanu a medju učenicima su mu bili budući sjajninteniseri Vuk Jovanovic i Dušan Vemić (koji su tada imali oko 12 godina).
